Such a quaint little kiln house
Here is the kiln inside that little house. This is where the dolls are fired. Each individual piece is placed on the silicone sand and fired at extremely high temperatures.
Here is a before and after firing picture. Joyce holds the tiny porcelain heads to show how the porcelain shrinks and darkens in color during firing. Just one of many steps in the very involved process of making these tiny creations.
